Bloomfield Highway Department

The Village and Town is made up of 83.96 miles.  

The Highway Department is responsible for the routine maintenance and repair of the Village and Town owned pavements and surface infrastructure within the street right-of-way, with the exception of those maintained by the County or State. The Department has responsibility for the following:

• Managing the construction of roads projects.
• Maintaining a system of records and maps.
• Coordinating with other public utilities operating within our street right-of-way.
• Snow and ice control
• Mowing of municipal owned land
• Maintenance of traffic signs
