2026 Road construction information
Orchid Dr & all extensions
The Orchid Dr road project is not complete. The Highway Department put down a temporary fix of gravel for residents to leave their driveways. Shouldering will be completed within the next couple of weeks.
Ridge Rd
Ridge Rd shouldering will be completed this week. The contractors are allowed up to 2 feet of shouldering material in the Public Right-of-Way.
N Bloomfield Rd
N Bloomfield Rd from North Rd to Cortona Ln: milling should begin August 6, 2026. Roads may be rough to drive on. Paving should start the week of August 10, weather permitting.
Maureen Court
Maureen Court is accessible. The contractors created a path through the grass to access.
Lyons Rd
Lyons Rd paving should begin the week of August 3rd.
The Village and Town is made up of 83.96 miles.
The Highway Department is responsible for the routine maintenance and repair of the Village and Town owned pavements and surface infrastructure within the street right-of-way, with the exception of those maintained by the County or State. The Department has responsibility for the following:
- Managing the construction of roads projects.
- Maintaining a system of records and maps.
- Coordinating with other public utilities operating within our street right-of-way.
- Snow and ice control
- Mowing of municipal owned land
- Maintenance of traffic signs
